A color wheel (right) is a way of representing the visible spectrum in a circular form, with colors arranged in sequence around the circumference in order of spectral frequency. Complementary colors are colors that are directly across from one another, for example, yellow and purple. This (bottom right) is a gradient of two complementary colors.
