Alisa Brubaker

Alisa Brubaker was born and raised in Andover, Minnesota, a city just forty miles north of Minneapolis. She has three older sisters, Michelle, age 36, Stephanie, age 35, and Heather, age 26, and two brother-in-laws. Since she was a child, Alisa's patience has been tested. Her sister, Michelle, has downs syndrome which truly stretches the patience of everyone in the family, but she is greatly loved. Alisa is actively involved with her family and enjoys babysitting her seven nieces and nephews.

Alisa attended a local church all her life and at the age of three accepted Christ Jesus as her Lord and savior. Jesus is her life. He is her everything. She continued to remain active within the church. At the age of thirteen she was teaching Sunday school and working in the nursery. A few years later, Alisa and a friend created a group called the S.W.I.M. team, servants with important missions. This team was a group of 4th-6th graders that seemed to be leaders within the church. The S.W.I.M. team would help out with offering, assist with Sunday school, and set up tables and chairs when necessary. Alisa joined the youth group worship team as well as the adult worship team, playing the drums, or piano and singing. Alisa's involvement in church is very important to her.

Four years ago, Alisa's mother was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer. By the grace of God, the doctors were able to remove all cancerous cells. One year later, Alisa's father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. This news impacted her life greatly. After significant surgery and complications, the doctor fortunately was able to remove the cancer.

Alisa is a P.S.E.O. student from St. Francis High School. She currently has a 3.987 GPA and was involved in tennis, drama, band, choir, NHS, Open Minds Diversity Club, Student Ambassadors, Yearbook, and Youth Teaching Youth.

Bethel University was an easy decision for Alisa. Two of her sisters attended the institution and Alisa had been on campus since she was three. She plans to double major in Business with an emphasis in Human Resources and Psychology. Eventually, she was like to become an Executive of a retail industry.
