| White to Black Gradient Collage | |||||
| Description: | |||||
You will be given a black and white photograph cut from a magazine. You are to divide the image and cut into 1/2 inch squares. Use glue stick to adhere the squares onto a sheet of white paper roughly 8.5" x 11". Analyze the value or lightness and darkness of each individual square. Rearrange the squares to create an even gradation from light to dark. Trim the edges of your photograph so that they are even and square. Use all the squares so that your final gradient is the same size as your original photo. Be as careful as possible. Arrange the half inch squares evenly so that little or none of the background paper shows through. |
