The image at left is 3072 X 2048 pixels in size which is way to large for a web page. Resize it to fit the space you would like it to fill on your web page. A large web image should be no larger than 800 X 600.
While you can reduce the size of an image, do not try to enlarge an image as the resulting image will be low quality.
Adjust your image: Brightness/Contrast if needed
Optimize your image for the web by selecting the appropriate image type and quality
Image types
gif for graphics with few colors (like these menu images)
jpg for photos or complex color images
png for quality images with transparency but not good in all browsers
Save your optimized image (to your web folder)
Use either Save Optimized or Save Optimized As to save your image. If you want to save the image to continue working on it later use the Save/SaveAs which saves a .psd or Photoshop/ImageReady file type.
