Ipods and cell phones are
two of the most popular electronic products on the market today. Our
business is proposing a new product in which the attractive, recognizable
style of the Ipod and the ease and convenience of a cell phone would
be combined into one product. This technology has been attenpted somewhat
by Apple with the release of the Motorola ROKR phone, which can hold
up to 100 Itunes songs, but our team is proposing going further with
this idea. We are suggesting a product that will have all the music
storage capabilities of a normal Ipod, but with full cell phone capabilities
also. We would like to eventually combine video, e-mail, internet, and
the cell phone into one sleek Ipod. Imagine being able to access all
your technological needs in one small, stylish piece of electronics.
This product could be revolutionary, and as the demand for the new ipod
Nano has shown, Ipods are still an amazingly popular item. If we can
combine the success of Ipods with the overwhelming demand for cell phones,
we would be able to appeal to a double market. Add in the other capabilities,
and our new product could be the most in-demand piece of new electronics
on the market. Our all-inclusive Ipod would probably range in price
according to storage capabilities, much as the Ipods now do. The base
price would probably be around $400.00, but they would also come with
free cell phone service for 5 months, with unlimited minutes during
that period of time, in order to boost sales by providing an added benefit
for the price. Also, the price, as with all electronics, would gradually
decrease as the product becomes more popular and the demand increases.
We would hope to be able to sell Apple on this idea and market the product
through them, because having the well-known Apple corporation design
and name behind our product would boost sales and help the
product just because Apple is so established in the portable electronics
business.
