BBX Cell and Service
Since there is a high percentage of internet users and many communication methods,
BBX has combined six distinctive technologies into one: VoIP, Instant Messaging,
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mobile Phone, and digital video technologies. BBX Corporation's
product is the BBX Cell and Home Phone. Its service is the instant messenger,
BBX Service, online. BBX Corporations also provide high-speed internet to its
members and as with BBX Corporation's technologies, internet is all that they
need to communicate along with the necessary gadgets.
Technology
Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity)
Wi-Fi is a trade mark for sets of product compatibility standards for wireless
local area networks (WLANs) (Wikipedia). It allows you to connect to a local
network when near on of the network's access point. This connection is made
possible by radio signals, which throws away the plug ins. How it works is that
if the local area network has internet connection, then the Wi-Fi compatible
devices have internet too. This trademark is controlled by the Wi-Fi Alliance,
which BBX Cell and Service have partner with. This makes it possible for BBX
Cell Phones to come equipped with Wi-Fi technologies. Of course, laptops have
Wi-Fi built-in into their systems and possibly the home computers will come
with Wi-Fi as well. This Wi-Fi system if very advance will allow BBX Cell or
laptop computers to talk anywhere in the world at a very low-cost to costumers.

Bluetooth
Bluetooth is the same as Wi-Fi, but it focuses on Personal area networks (PANs).
It works by providing a way for mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers, etc.
to exchange information securely and globally at low costs at short range radio
frequency (Wikipedia). This is especially good for the BBX Home Phone because
Bluetooth technology uses very little energy or power which with the home phone
you might only want it for only a short range around the house, which Bluetooth
is totally capable of doing; although more research is needed to be done on
it to increase it's distance usage.
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)
VoIP is the transferring or routing of information, voice, over the internet
by links connected to a network joined together than instead of the old traditional
phone lines. With this technology, long distance calls or any call will be extremely
cheap almost free. Yet, the directing of traffics or data isn't solidifying
or perfect. There are some glitches in that some data transfers over IP networks
may be damaged or misrouted. Control and reliability is low, but with BBX Cell
and Service that may be another story. BBX Corporation has combined VoIP with
instant messaging to come with the BBX service. BBX service is online and free
of charge to anyone. Just like instant messaging, BBX service transfer voice
or video conversations to costumers with the necessary equipment setup, which
BBX Corporations transfer all those information by internet means to customers.
Of course, in order to cope with the existing system of cell phone, telephone,
and technologies in communication, BBX Corporation have developed a product,
the BBX Cell or Home Phone, which will allow all costumers to linked together
into one gigantic instant messaging network. These products are wireless and
can connect to the internet, which will automatically connect to the BBX service
over the internet. That will allow members to use their cell or home phone with
just the internet fees instead of all three fees: home phone, cell phone, and
internet.
Instant Messengers
A hosted program that allows instant messaging like that of email, but it is
instant and direct in real-time. It is a letter conversation, which is immediate
like a phone conversation. Over the years, Instant Messengers have been engrafted
with video, audio, VoIP, and web conferencing features. This is exactly what
BBX Corporation is going after with its BBX Service. With video and audio features,
people can have face-to-face conversations while a thousand miles away or run
a business in another country. Another things that is unique about BBX Service
is that its instant messenger (IM) can link to other IM customers, which also
allows its members to link to existing cell phone provider companies. In this
way, no one is out of reach from BBX Corporations.
Spam
IM are the most popular targets for spam today, so BBX has created a receiving
list for all its members to block unwanted calls from someone or spam. They
can edit their list by allowing calls from certain people or businesses to go
through or ban them. Also, BBX Service is protected by a firewall that automatically
blocks spam from its customers; in order that its members can link channels
safely and exchanged information flowingly.
