ST. JOSEPH, Minn. - Away from their home court, the Bethel women's basketball team was held at bay offensively as the Saint Benedict Blazers defeated the Royals 36-73.
The Blazers got ahead early in the game and continued to open up the score as the Royals struggled to catch up.
Leading the Royals in points was Taylor Sheley (Fr., Backus, Minn.) with a total of ten points, along with three rebounds. Annegret Nautsch (Sr., Everett, Wash.) followed Sheley in points with eight. The Blazers were able to hold Nautsch, last season's leader in rebounds in the MIAC, to only five rebounds in the game.
