Biography

Nicole Higgins is a special education teaching professional.  She has over 25 years of experience with students ranging in age from 6 months to 21 years old.  She has taught in both public and private school settings. She received her Bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University - Winona and her Masters degree from Saint Mary's University - Winona, MN.  Nicole is currently working as an interim special education teacher at LifeScape in Sioux Falls, South Dakota as well as working part time for Bethel University as an adjunct faculty member. Nicole began her teaching career at Fraser School in Richfield, MN and spent the next 13 years working in progressively advanced roles in the Eden Prairie School District where she served as a paraprofessional, case manager, teacher, and program lead for their transition program.   She is a strong advocate for her students and their families. Nicole believes that every student has the right and ability to learn, you just need to find what works best for that student.
