Biography

Wyland received his bachelor’s degree from Hamline University, master’s degree in clarinet performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, and has done further studies at the University of Southern California. He studied clarinet with Cloyde Williams of the Minnesota Orchestra and Gino Cioffi of the Boston Symphony. Wyland has played with the Minnesota Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minneapolis Civic Orchestra, Minnesota Opera Orchestra and Canadian National Ballet Orchestra. He is the former Director of Bands at White Bear Lake High School. Wyland currently performs with the Encore Wind Ensemble as well as freelancing in the Twin Cities area.
