Picture of the book The Journey Back to EdenGlen Scorgie, professor of theology (San Diego), published The Journey Back to Eden: Restoring the Creator’s Design for Women and Men (Zondervan). Scorgie examines Scripture and history in tracing the trajectory of the Holy Spirit as he calls the church back to personal wholeness and relational harmony. Scorgie corrects misunderstandings of biblical statements on gender; demonstrates that some texts applied only to the unique historical situations they addressed; and discerns the overall direction that the Spirit is taking as he calls the church to embrace a vision of gender equality, freedom, and mutuality.
