Chicago Area Alumni Gathering
President Jay Barnes, his wife Barb, and members of Bethel's alumni team gathered with Bethel alumni from the Chicago area on March 17.
Bethel alumni, friends, and prospective students and parents gathered in Schaumburg, Ill. on March 17 to enjoy breakfast and hear about what God is doing at Bethel and beyond.
President Jay Barnes shared the distinctives of a Bethel education, echoing the sentiments of Bethel’s founder, John Alexis Edgren, who encouraged an evaluation of Bethel based on the caliber of its alumni. He mentioned several influential Bethel alumni who make a significant impact for Christ in the fields of business, education, and science.
Alumni then shared their own Bethel stories. Despite their various ages and professional backgrounds, they shared a common gratitude for the role that Bethel has played in their lives.
