Class #1 • Sound, Lights, and High Velocity
Fun!
Are you looking for an electrifying and daring excursion to add some
energy to your morning? Come and experience some breathtaking demonstrations
of sound and light as the physics department takes us on an adventure
to remember! Inquisitive folks of all ages and interests are invited
to join this high-energy class!
Class #2 • Surviving the Quarter-Life Crisis
Are you a 20-something who is confused, insecure, or financially stressed?
Do you have work issues, money problems, or relationship struggles?
Then you are most likely experiencing the “Quarter-Life Crisis” and
you’re not alone! Alumni of all ages are invited to learn tips
on how to manage this stage of life. Session will be led by Malia Freeburg,
who works in the Bethel career services office and serves as a resident
director in Lissner Hall.
Class #3 • Emotional Intelligence
Did you know that research indicates that Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
is a better predictor of life success than IQ? You are invited to join
this session where we will examine the different elements of emotional
intelligence, hear how it relates to family and the workplace, and
look at some biblical examples of EQ. Session will be led by Bethel
Professor of Psychology and Department Chair Joel Frederickson.
Class #4 • Quality Christian Fiction
Looking for some good Christian fiction? Come and hear Bethel Professor
of English Dan Ritchie discuss current fiction from a Christian perspective.
The English department will also introduce you to three new department
members, Scott Reed (journalism), Angela Shannon (creative writing),
and Mark Bruce (literature).
