Dear Bethel Class of 1969,
Author Victor Hugo wrote, "Forty is the old age of youth; fifty is the youth of old age." It’s true. We 50-somethings occupy that awkward space where we qualify for the same "senior housing" where our parents live. AARP material has become mildly interesting ─ but not yet urgent. And the most famous Vietnam War protestor has a shot at the White House! We’re also at the magical age when a 35th college reunion is not so much ignored or avoided as embraced─like an influential relative we’re finally wise enough to appreciate.
So. . . Renew your spirit. Seek your roots. Rebuild lost connections. And feel just a little younger next to the class of 1965!
This is your invitation to Bethel Homecoming 2004 and the 35th Reunion of the Bethel College Class of 1969. Saturday, October 16, is Class Reunion Night, beginning at 5:45 p.m. with a reception and dinner, followed by our own class reunion. This will be a special time to visit, reflect, and reminisce with fellow classmates and faculty members, and to be inspired by guest artist and classmate David Koblish (Kobielush).
What you can do:
Our committee is excited to be planning this significant evening for your enjoyment. We hope you can help make it happen.
Sincerely,
The 1969 Class Reunion Committee:
Marilyn Theesfeld, David Nelson, Dan Johnson, Ray Sammons, and Nola (Schmiess)
