Dear 1990 Bethel Alum,

The reunion weekend September 23-25 was a great time to connect with old friends and enjoy fellowship in Christ. Just like the days back in the late ’80s there were many times of laughter and many moments to cherish.

Reunion highlights:

  • Special emcee Glenn Heinsch. Enough said. It was a lively night.
  • A “reunion band” organized by Glenn that led us in worship to our King!
  • Prayer was a key item on our agenda. It was sweet to join together interceding for each other’s needs along with giving thanks.
  • Old and new pictures were running on a PowerPoint in the background. Thanks to all who sent photos.
  • Testimony from Connie Jensen Freshour and Chris Hess. God’s plan is to use each one in a unique and fresh way!
  • Professional string quartet music.
  • And time to just talk and catch up. Check the web site for further info and pictures from our time together.

We can all agree that Bethel played a key role in our lives, something that should lead us to praise the Lord. Bethel is a unique university with a mission statement that announces its purpose to educate and energize men and women so they may serve throughout the globe with excellence and a strong Christian faith.

There are about 2,900 students now at Bethel who are going through what we experienced 15 years ago. There are two practical things we can do to “give back” in gratitude for what Bethel gave to each of us:

  • Pray. There are Bethel alumni around the world. It is exciting to think about how prayer is being offered on behalf of students, faculty, and administration.
  • Consider supporting Bethel financially. Tuition alone only covers 85 percent of the annual expenses at Bethel. Sacrificial support will impact lives.

We are thankful for the opportunity to gather at our 15-year reunion. Before we know it, our 20-year reunion will be here. When that happens, it would be a blessing to have more of the 1990 class joined together.

“May the Lord bless you from Zion, He who made heaven and earth!” Psalm 134:3

Grace and peace in Christ,
