Communication Studies program hones interpersonal skills.

Clear communication skills help to establish long-term success in the workplace. The communication studies program helps students communicate sensitively and tactfully in both professional and personal settings.

Designed for adult students, the program gives learners the tools to analyze and improve how they present themselves and their organizations. For Brenda Meyer, a recent graduate, the program serves as a “spring board to enter any area of work with a broader sense of self and to utilize tools in our world to further communication.”

Bethel’s program also highlights communication skills from a diverse perspective, a necessary skill in our globalized economy.

By taking a set of core courses and choosing from a set of electives, communication studies majors develop confidence and become more effective speakers. Students may also complete a communication studies minor to complement other majors or to earn elective credit.
