Graduate School Offers Education Options

Bethel’s Graduate School offers several options for training in education for educators or those wanting to work in the field. Choose from Master of Arts or Master of Education programs with a variety of licenses and certificates from which to choose.                                                                            

Teaching: For non-education bachelor’s degree holders who want a secondary teaching license. The programs are a learner-centered, standards-driven collaboration between learners, college professors, and local school districts. Licensure occurs through the student’s undergraduate major. Choose licensure in:

· Art (K-12)                                                                             

Chuck Strand

· Business

· Communication Arts and Literature                                  

· General Science

· Health

· Mathematics

· Social Studies

· Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (K-12)

· World Languages and Cultures (K-12)

Education K-12: A Master of Arts program for licensed K-12 classroom teachers who wish to focus on educators’ expanding leadership roles. Learners take a sequence of core courses and a concentration in:

· Middle Level

· Reading

· Special Education

· Customized Concentration

Special Education: Prepare yourself to teach effectively in the field of special education. Designed for those with a bachelor’s degree in education or other majors. Choose from:

· Master of Education (basic program)

· And/Or licensure in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (E/BD)

· And/Or licensure in Learning Disabilities (LD)
