Bethel MBA Featured in Star Tribune

Publication date: 1/22/08 11:40 AM

Bethel's MBA program was featured in an article titled "It's a buyer's market for MBA degrees" in the Star Tribune on Tuesday, January 22. The article, by Jeff Shelman, focuses on the increase of MBA programs in the Twin Cities area, including Bethel's MBA program.

"Currently more than 5,000 people in the Twin Cities area -- primarily working adults taking classes at night and on weekends -- are working on what has become a tool for advancement in the corporate world," writes Shelman.

"Business school enrollment is growing not only in Minnesota but across the nation. From the early 1990s to 2005, the number of degrees awarded each year had grown from about 1,200 to 2,100, according to the Minnesota Office of Higher Education."

In the few years since the creation of Bethel's MBA, the program has grown and today has 14 active MBA cohorts meeting on campus; in Arden Hills at the Red Fox campus; at Cragun's Resort in Brainerd, Minn.; and in Duluth, Minn.
