Flag Flown in Iraq Honors MBA

Publication date: Aug 26, 2009 3:05 p.m.

Paul Ives 175

On July 4, an American flag was flown over COB (Contingency Operations Base) in Basra, Iraq in honor of MBA cohort MBN. The owner of the flag, Captain Paul Ives, was a member of this cohort before he was called back to Iraq for a second deployment.

Ives currently serves as an operations officer in the tactical operations center as a member of the 34th “Red Bull” Infantry Division. He will likely be deployed until February 2010.

Ives arranged for the flag to be sent to Dr. Duke Fuehrer, co-program director for the MBA. Fuehrer plans to display the flag and a corresponding certificate at the Red Fox Campus, where most MBA cohorts meet.
