The
Bethel University Office of Career Services is here to help. We provide
a variety of services to assist alumni in establishing career
objectives and implementing appropriate strategies to reach their
career goals:
Career Counseling
Career Services offers a limited number of counseling appointments
for a variety of career or graduate school concerns. Whether you are trying to
revise your resume, thinking about changing careers, or have questions about
graduate school, individual appointments are available to alumni. Appointments
normally last one hour and can be arranged by either calling 651-638-6460 or
stopping by Career Services (CC322).
Educational Credential Files

Assessment
Self-assessment is an essential component of career development and
planning. We offer a limited number of counseling sessions using several
self-assessment tools and inventories to help you integrate career options with
a better understanding of yourself.
Inventories While no inventory will tell you the
"one perfect career" that is right for you, but they can give you options to
explore.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator This 93 question
inventory looks at your personality preferences and how they relate to possible
strengths, areas that may need improvement, and careers. The inventory normally
takes 35-45 minutes to finish and costs $8.00. To take this inventory, stop by
Career Services and make an appointment. After the appointment, you will be
given the inventory to complete at your leisure. When you return the inventory
to our office, we will make a one hour appointment with you to interpret the
results.
Strong Interest Inventory The Strong Interest
Inventory can help you to identify general areas of interest as well as specific
activities and occupations which you may want to explore further. The Strong has
314 questions, takes approximately 45-60 minutes to finish, and costs $12.00. To
take this inventory, stop by Career Services and make an appointment. After the
appointment, you will be given a password so you can take the inventory online
at your leisure. Once you have taken the inventory, you will need to make a one
hour appointment for you and a counselor to review your results.
