HECUA - The Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs offers summer internships and programs in MN & abroad. These internships are academic in nature and focus on social change.

INTERNpost - There are internships for all majors, from a variety of employers and organizations within the Twin Cities area & greater Minnesota.

The Back Door Guide to Short Term Job Adventures - This Web site gives you a sample of the listing that can be found in the book The Back Door Guide to Short Term Job Adventures available in the Career Services Office. It offers thousands of detailed listings for unique and alternative paid internships, seasonal work, volunteer opportunities, overseas jobs, and other short-term work experiences.

Disney College Program - Paid internships are offered at both Disney World and Disneyland

Educational Housing Services (EHS) - New York City - Site includes a number of furnished, safe and affordable residences for students. There is also a link for a roommate referral program in NYC.

InternMatch - a free national database, internship guides, resources, and tools.

Internships.com - Newly redesigned site - search for internships, student tools and company directory.

OASIS - Orlando Area Student Internship Society is overwhelmed with requests from top employers searching for high-achieving students willing to accept challenging internships in the Orlando/Central FL area.

Rising Star Internships - A clearinghouse of internships sorted by category. This organization has an extensive application process and it is recommended that you start the process early.

International Internships

Links and tips on how to locate internships abroad. General rule of thumb: start looking for sites early & anticipate having to do the internship for-credit.

Association of International Development and Exchange (AIDE) - AIDE can help you find an international internship in the following countries: Argentina, Australia, China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru and Spain.  Many fields are represented.

AustraLearn - Want to intern in Australia or New Zealand? This organization helps you find the right internship and gives you the inside scoop on how live/work in Australia.

BUNAC - BUNAC's internship program, Intern in Britain, provides the opportunity to work as a student or recent graduate intern in the UK for up to 6 months.

British Council - Government agency that helps with Internship placement in the United Kingdom for American students. Offers lists and descriptions of positions with all contact information necessary to apply.

CRCC Beijing Internship - provides professional internships in Beijing for students and graduates.

Global Career Services - Find international jobs and internships as well as advice on CV, resume, work permit and visa requirements for working abroad.

Idealist - 20,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 150 countries, where you can search placements by name, location, or mission. These internships tend to be oriented towards activism & social change.

iHippo - A combination of social network and jobsite which offers Young Professionals and Students the chance to browse through 1000+ challenging international job and internship offers from prestigious employers. A professional profile can be created in order to be found by international recruiters and for networking with peers from around the globe.

InterExchange - Internships programs include placement, housing and meals and are available in a wide variety of fields. All placements include a 2 week language school program. Schools are centrally located and feature modern classrooms with half-day classes Monday through Friday.

Intern.StudyAbroad.com - conduct an extensive college search for perfect internship abroad or opportunities during your overseas study.

ReachGlobal - Offers international internships or "in-country" placements.

Univ. of Michigan International Center - Excellent resource with links to MANY websites that help people wade through the sea of information about working and interning abroad.
