Director of Christian Education, North Branch UMC, North Branch, MN

Job Description:

  • Provides support  for lay leadership of Children's Sunday school, and Wednesday Evening Children's Program
  • Willing to help prepare projects, snacks, etc for Children's Ministries
  • Willing to fill in as a substitute teacher if necessary
  • Willing to work Wednesday evening 3-9pm and Sunday mornings 7am to noon
  • Regular work hours: part-time, 10-12 hours per week
  • Evening meetings: averages 1 a week

Qualifications:

  • Competent with office equipment such as personal computers, related software applications (word processing, spreadsheets and presentational), communication equipment (copier, fax, telephone) and general office equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to help lay leadership, energize, organize and encourage children, youth, coworkers and congregational members to grow in service

Job Description:

  • Join a Reign missions team during training and overseas outreach to gain hands on experience discipling teens, develop youth leadership skills and experience
  • Serve as a small group leader for 13-18 year old students as well assist the team leader with additional responsibilities (i.e. teaching, logistics)
  • Small group leaders are actively and intimately involved in student's spiritual transformation; help them understand and apply the basics of the Christian faith, lead and help process their quiet times
  • This is a volunteer position with the opportunity to raise additional personal support
  • This option will be discussed during the application process
  • Trips range from 5-8 weeks in length
  • Location vary based on need

Qualifications:

Sunday School Assistant to Special Needs Child, Grace Church Eden Prairie, MN

Job Description:

  • Provide weekly one-on-one support to child/children with special needs in Sunday school classroom during the 10:30-11:45 hour
  • Can attend worship at the 9:00-10:15 hour
  • Special needs may include autism, ADD, cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome
  • Training and support will be provided by Grace Church disability ministry
  • Provide safety by monitoring child to prevent elopement from classroom
  • Level of classroom support dependent on child
  • Could require simple verbal cues or hand-over-hand assistance
  • In event classroom becomes overwhelming for child, assist him or her with diversionary activities

Job Description:

  • To engage young people in the Guys Mills area in a life-long journey of following Christ
  • Our goal is to equip serious servant-oriented leaders for full-time vocational ministry, and to give each one a deeper sense of God's calling in their life
  • Our purpose is to provide hands-on experience in youth ministry in an outreach-oriented environment
  • Our internship can be any length of three months or more.  Interns are welcome to apply and work year-round
  • Our vision is to train individuals in dynamic hands-on ministry skills and nurture and develop their unique spiritual gifts and passions
  • Our internship program covers comprehensive exposure  to all areas of ministry to youth
  • Key Elements:

    • This is an energetic and challenging 50 hour a week program designed to sharpen and train our interns so that they are fully equipped to serve God in every area of ministry from the mission field to the marketplace
    • Each week, our interns spend 40 hours dedicated to their area of specialty
    • The rest of their time will include serving the church in various ways
    • Other opportunities for involvement can include:

      • Discipleship training with senior pastor
      • Mentor relationship time
      • Personal development time
      • Overseas short term mission preparation
  • Principle Functions:

    • Ministry to Students- RMA's (Relational Ministry Actions)

      • Contacting of students outside of regularly scheduled ministry times
