  • The OPRIN Apprentice Program is a paid apprenticeship program for college juniors, seniors, and recent graduates in the area of Business, Sales, Marketing, Graphic Design, and Computer Science.  It's designed to put classroom knowledge to work in a real-world setting while equipping the apprentices to impact the world with their lives and careers.  While the largest portion of the program is the work experience, the heart of the program builds on the foundation of a personal faith in God to develop a vision that will empower a career and make a difference in the world.  It involves mentorship, training, and experiences geared to give each apprentice an edge in life as well as career
  • The OPIN Apprentice Program incorporates a variety of training and experience designed to give each apprentice an edge in life and career

Job Description:

  • OPIN delivers innovative solutions and services that enable organizations to securely deliver and exchange information to improve work flow, productivity and business processes.  Our flagship products include digital content management solutions, electronic bill presentment and payment systems and B2B gateways for sharing information with employees, customers, and partners.
  • This apprenticeship provides experience similar to an entry-level software engineering position for a new or recent graduate.  As a Software Programmer Analyst you will participate in developing new products and new modules for existing commercial software products. 
  • You will be part of a product development team responsible for developing, supporting and enhancing products.  You will participate in analysis, deign, coding and unit testing of applications. 
  • You will work closely with other developers, engineering staff, QA, and Professional Services staff.  you will also work directly with sales, product marketing, and customers to achieve sound product design for market and implementation success
  • Develop and maintain Web-based enterprise and B2B document/content management and/or online statement presentment and payment solutions
  • Involved in functions across the entire product development life cycle --from ideation of new products, prototyping, through to design, development, QA, and commercial release
  • Assist in development of product / project specifications
  • Perform requirement analysis, dependency, and estimation on a variety of technical tasks
  • Perform design and coding activities principally in the J2EE development environment

  • The Barrier Island Environmental Education Centers is seeking Christian naturalists/outdoor educators for the 2008-2009 year
  • The program is held on site at St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center
  • St. Christopher is run by the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina and is located 25 miles south of Charleston on Seabrook Island
  • The campus includes nearly one mile of beach, 100 acres of salt march, 200 acres of undisturbed maritime forest, two freshwater ponds, and a freshwater swamp
  • Position Duration: August 11, 2008 - May 16, 2009 (with the potential of extension)
  • Instruction in day and evening programs on beach, forest and wetland ecology, astronomy, weather, tracking, and leading low-ropes courses
