Job Description:

  • This posting represents all open temporary positions working with youth this summer at Pillsbury United communities at Brian Coyle Community Center – 420 15th Ave. S; Oak Park Center – 1701 Oak Park Av. N; Pillsbury House – 3501 Chicago Ave. S.
  • These positions include Behavior and Nutrition Specialist, Youth Specialist, Gym Attendants and others

Qualifications:

  • Positions require varying amounts of education/experience, from a high school diploma to a college degree
  • High degree of comfort working with inner city populations
  • Demonstrated flexibility and responsibility
  • Creative thinking, decision making, problem solving, and reasoning skills and capable of taking initiative
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of the developmental needs of youth
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to relate effectively and work respectfully with people of various cultures and backgrounds
  • Willingness to learn and improve as a child care professional
  • Some positions require the ability to become an Agency authorized driver within two weeks of hire
  • The stamina necessary to effectively work with a group of youth with a wide range of abilities and needs

Job Description:

  • If this sounds like you, come work for Skyhawks, the largest provider of sports programs for kids
  • Looking for those interested in teaching young athletes (ages 4-14) the rules, techniques and strategies of the following activities:
  • Soccer, baseball, basketball, cheer-leading, beginning golf, tennis, flag football, multi-sport, Tiny-Hawk, lacrosse, volleyball, track & field
  • Directors and Coaches positions available for both week-long half-day programs and week-long full-day programs
  • Skyhawks assigns staff on a weekly basis
  • Staff who do an excellent job and perform well will work on a consistent basis
  • Staffing is based on a number of factors including number of sports staff can teach, flexibility in driving to different locations, and how well the staff are currently doing their job
  • Programs typically are from 9am-noon, 1pm-4pm, or 9am-3pm M-F
  • Staff works 18-19 hours/week for 1/2 day camps, 33-34 hours/week for full day camps
  • Evening hours also available
  • Typically run over an 8-10 week period starting in June and concluding the last week of August

Qualifications:

  • Looking for sports-oriented individuals who are highly-motivated, energetic people who enjoy working with children
  • Requires staff to attend 2-3 training sessions -held in evenings and weekends in June
  • Requires Directors to be First Aid and CPR certified and Coaches to be First Aid Certified by the time you work your first camp
  • Staff must be at least 17 years old by June 1st

Salary/Benefits:

  • Between $8/hour to $13/hour based on school level and experience

Job Description:

  • Kamaji is a residential summer camp for girls located in Northern Minnesota. Each summer, 160 girls (ages 7-15) and 80+ staff members come together to enjoy the magic of camping
  • Looking for cabin counselors who teach one of the following activities: sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, fishing, sea-kayaking, English horseback riding, tennis, archery, aerobics/dance, outdoor living skills and low-ropes course/climbing wall (women only)
  • We are looking for program specialists in one of the activities listed above (men and women).
  • Wilderness Trip leaders who lead trips from two to eight days in length (women or men)
  • Assistant cooks (women or men)
  • Office workers/camp drivers (women or men)

Qualifications:

Salary/Benefits:
