Career Services
A credential file is a physical file containing original, signed letters of recommendation/reference provided by co-operating teachers and supervisors of your student teaching experience as well as any additional reference letters you might choose to include or add.
Credentials are typically expected as part of the process in applying for employment in an educational setting. The majority of schools are asking for credentials to be provided electronically. The Office of Career Services can provide the scanning process for a one-time fee of $5.00. Transcripts and resumes are not part of the credential file, but you will be required to provide these documents as well as licensure information when applying for positions. Transcript requests can be done through the registrar’s office and licensure questions can be directed to the education department.
Please contact our office for assistance with your resume, questions, or to have your credential file scanned and processed.
