About Us...

Where Love and Learning Meet

The Bethel University Child Development Center serves toddler and preschool children ages six weeks to six years in both full-time and flexible part-time programs. The CDC is licensed to serve 49 children. Children who attend the Child Development Center will experience personal attention from pre-kindergarten licensed teachers as well as college students who are preparing to become professional early childhood educators. This creates an opportunity for the children to be involved in many innovative and creative learning experiences and be guided by individuals who are knowledgeable in child growth and development.

A Wide Range of Activities for All

Bethel's Child Development Center provides a wide range of activities for development in all areas. Learning centers include science, math, creative art, dramatic play, block play, manipulatives, literature, music and movement, large-motor activities, sensory experiences, computer exploration, pre-writing, and reading. Each day teachers design learning experiences to meet the needs of the individual child as well as the entire group.

Christian Environment

A Christian setting helps establish life-long values. As part of a Christian community, teachers are able to pray with the children and share God's love with them. There are many opportunities when Bible stories are incorporated into our curriculum, but the main Christian emphasis is through teachers who have committed their lives to Jesus.

Why Choose Bethel?

Our college setting provides something you won't find anywhere else. Our unique program of licensed professionals and college education students provides experience with enthusiasm. Committed to early childhood education, we combine the best of traditional techniques and new methods for your child's benefit. We are accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs.
