Our Out-of-School-Time Program
Our Out-of-School-Time Program runs full days throughout the summer and offers before and after-school care during the school year. We offer your child a NAEYC accredited program with academic excellence and spiritual development. This program is available for children in grades K through 6.
Hours
The Out-of-School-Time program is
available for children from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during:
- Summer
- School release days
- Before and after school
Benefits
Academic excellence — One-on-one instruction in reading, writing, math and computer literacy.
Spiritual development — Focus on Christian values with the 7 principles of Kwanzaa (unity, self determination, responsibility, supportive, purpose, creativity, faith).
Enrichment opportunities — Walker West Music Academy teaches children through instruction and performance. Learn a foreign language (French). Local artists teach children to unleash their creativity through art. Step-it-Up workshops and choreography illustrates life purpose through the art of "Stepping."
Service learning — Inspire children to create social change within the community. We participate in community service projects, Feed My Starving Children, Give us Wings, Make a Child Smile, and Sun Light Senior Living Center.
Field trips — Attend trips to Minnesota Zoo, State Capitol, Como Park and Zoo, MN History Museum, Minneapolis Institute of Art, Sculpture Park, Fun Zone, and more.
