Give to Bethel University
News for donors to bethel university
With just three months to go in the last lap of its six-year, $105
million Comprehensive Resource Campaign, Bethel University has received
a shot of high octane fuel from St. Paul’s Bush Foundation.
The foundation’s $1 Million Matching Capital Grant Challenge, designed to propel Bethel across the finish line of its “Taking the Next Step” campaign, offers a dollar-for-dollar match for gifts and pledges to the college’s capital priorities within the campaign.
Through the match, the Bush Foundation will double the impact of gifts and pledges up to $250,000 that are made between March 5 and May 31, 2008. Donors have until May 31, 2013, to fulfill these commitments.
According to Sandra Clark, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, “By stepping up to the Bush Challenge, donors who care deeply about Bethel now have an opportunity to double the impact of their gift in the lives of students. It’s a stewardship value that’s hard to beat.”
This challenge is important not just for the vital matching commitments that will be made, but because it will have an inspirational effect on leadership donors. As expressed in the proposal to the Bush Foundation, Bethel believes the grant will provide the momentum to secure an additional four million dollars in leadership capital commitments.
According to Bethel President George K. Brushaber, “This grant is a tribute to what our donors have already done to take the next step for Bethel. It is also a timely incentive to reach a truly ambitious goal and continue the transformation in stewardship that we have seen throughout the campaign.”
If you would like to “Step Up” to the Bush Challenge with a minimum donation or pledge of $10,000 payable over five years, please contact Vice President for Development Bruce Anderson at 651.635.8050.
