Comprehensive Resource Campaign

Nancy and Mark TurekNancy and Mark Turek met over Bunsen burners in a biology class at Bethel, both graduating in 1992. Now a physical therapist and medical doctor respectively, Nancy and Mark are already giving back to their alma mater, even while raising a young family. They want Bethel to remain a strong option when their three children are choosing a higher education.
"God used Bethel to help shape my worldview," explains Nancy. "I was given the chance to explore a wide variety of academic areas and become involved in many leadership opportunities and service projects. I was surrounded by people who wanted me to develop academically, [and] also grow in my spiritual walk with Christ."
The couple began making contributions to Bethel early in their marriage—even during medical school. They have supported Bethel’s Annual Fund, and have also designated support toward a scholarship honoring their favorite biology professor, the late C. Weldon Jones.
"Bethel was a great experience for both of us, and it opened up opportunities," says Mark. "This is our chance to give back."
