Bethany Beach Gathering

Nearly 60 people with Bethel connections gathered at the Bethany Beach Community House in Sawyer, Mich., in early August.

Hosted by Wayland Jensen, a current Bethel trustee and his wife Barb, the event brought together Bethel friends and alumni for a time of fellowship and dessert. Attendees also had the opportunity to meet and chat with President Jay and Barb Barnes. Jay shared what’s ahead for Bethel and how the mission to build and equip adventurous Christ-followers continues.

“The fun part was that you have so many people from different walks of life with different stories coming together in one place and sharing how their experience with Bethel has changed their life and gotten them to where they are now,” says Chris Nelson, director of annual giving for Bethel’s Office of Development. “Many acknowledged that their Bethel roots have directed them on their path.”
