Scholarships and Endowments

“I was so relieved to discover I had received a scholarship. A large determining factor in initially enrolling and then continuing at Bethel was the excellent financial aid awarded to me.”—comment from a Bethel Seminary student

What is an Endowed Scholarship?

The gift of an endowed scholarship provides Bethel with a permanent asset from which students can receive support. The gift becomes a fund managed by the Bethel Foundation, whose investment objective is to achieve growth sufficient to preserve the value of the gift so the annual award is not diminished by inflation.

What is a Program Endowment?

The earnings from program endowments provide Bethel with permanent earnings to enhance certain designated programs of Bethel beyond the resources provided by the annual budget. Program endowments require a much larger principal than scholarship endowments.
