BCTP (Bethel Compass Transitions Program) is a support network for incoming students who are on the Autism Spectrum who also have a diagnosis of ADD, ADHD or Anxiety Disorder (related to performance and social situations). It provides opportunities to build social networks, develop targeted skills to facilitate a successful integration into the college community and the opportunity to have a successful transition experience.
BTCP is designed for incoming students (freshmen or transfer) who have and ASD, ADD, ADHD or Social Anxiety Disorder diagnosis.
Students who participate in BCTP develop valuable skills that support their transition to college, they work closely with peer mentors and program facilitators to develop and practice skills through exciting and interactive activities. Some examples of skills we will develop include organization, time management, study skills, self advocacy, self determination and social skills development.
No. Participation in BCTP is free, but space is limited.
