Adjunct Professor position in the new Master of Science in Physician Assistant program. This teaching position would teach the third term of the PA curriculum in careful coordination with the clinical medicine series in a systems-based approach. For example, when content in clinical medicine is addressing topics in gastroenterology, students will be receiving instruction on pharmacology of the gastroenterology system, pathophysiology of the gastroenterology system, and working in small group case-based discussions surrounding the same topic. This course will specifically address the lecture content and lab coordination for procedures related to the corresponding module topics and systems.
Lead instructor for course, which covers the diagnostic procedures of the related system. Outline and syllabi for this course and lab are developed. Course sequence will begin January 2014.
Higher education teaching experience.
Physician or Physician Assistant preferred.
Master's degree in related field required (doctorate preferred). Commitment and agreement to Bethel’s statement of faith and covenant.
Two references required. After review of application, resume and references, potential candidates will be invited for interview with program director and academic dean.
The ARC-PA has granted Accreditation-Provisional to the Bethel University-MN Physician Assistant Program. Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status. The status indicates that the plans and resource allocation for the program appear to demonstrate the program's ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards, if fully implemented as planned. Accreditation-Provisional does not ensure any subsequent accreditation status. It is limited to no more than three years from the matriculation of the first class. The next accreditation visit is scheduled for November 2014.
