The concert includes a tapestry of songs drawn from the richness of the American way of life, past and present, set to music by distinguished American composers Stephen Foster, Randall Thompson, Norman Dello Joio, Peter Schickele, Stephen Paulus, Frank Ticheli, and Morten Lauridsen. Featuring excerpts from Thompson’s towering Testament of Freedom with words by Thomas Jefferson.
Two Rivers Chorale is a dynamic community choir based in Minneapolis and St. Paul comprised of seasoned amateur singers representing the rich choral heritage of the upper Midwest. Founded in 1998 and led by artistic director and conductor Timothy Sawyer since 2004, Two Rivers Chorale seeks to enhance and expand the tradition of Minnesota choral excellence.
