Event Description

Ernest in Love is a musical adaptation of Oscar Wilde's beloved comedy of manners,The Importance of Being Earnest, a Trivial Comedy for Serious People.
This witty comedy revolves around two young gentlemen, Jack and Algy,  who try to maintain fictitious persona in order to escape burdensome social obligations.

Jack has created a younger brother Ernest, so he can retreat to the city when ever he likes and Algy,  wishing to  escape the city,  assumes the role of the imaginary brother, Ernest in order  to meet Jack's young ward.   In short order, not only is there a fictitious brother but two different versions of him.   The men are beside themselves when they find their innocent fabrications taking over their love lives.  Come join us as a beloved classic comes to life in musical form!
