Seminary St. Paul Guest Information

We look forward to hosting you on campus for commencement. The information below will help you make the most of this special celebration.

Communion Service

Saturday, May 24
7 p.m. | Doors open at 6:15 p.m.
Benson Great Hall, St. Paul campus

This service is for the graduating class, their guests, and seminary employees. Graduating students may sit with their guests.

Commencement Ceremony

Sunday, May 25
7 p.m. | Doors open at 6 p.m.
Benson Great Hall, St. Paul campus

Students report for lineup at 6:15 p.m. They are part of the processional and sit together. You do not need tickets. Seating is on a first-come basis. Because the ceremony is formal and the acoustics are lively, you are encouraged to make other arrangements for babies and young children. The ceremony is about 90 minutes.

All facilities and parking on campus are accessible to individuals with disabilities. If you need accessible seating, arrive at 6 p.m. and ask your usher for assistance. If you need a sign language interpreter, or if you have questions about accessible seating, email event-services@bethel.edu as soon as possible.

If needed, review driving directions to campus and the campus map. Benson Great Hall is located in the Community Life Center near the West Lot. Parking is available in the West or East Lot.

Commencement Reception

A reception for graduates and their guests will take place in Brushaber Commons after the ceremony. Hallway hosts will direct you to the reception. Plan to meet your graduate at the reception. Signs identifying degree programs will be posted throughout the reception area as gathering points for grads, guests, and faculty. Refreshments will be available.

The route from the ceremony to the reception is a moderate walking distance with stair and elevator options. A limited number of complimentary wheelchairs are available. Ask your usher or a hallway host about availability.

Questions?

Please direct questions about commencement to your graduating student first. If needed, contact Meg Thorson at mm-thorson@bethel.edu.
