Event Description
Bernice A. King ("Be A King") is the Chief Executive Officer of The King Center, which was founded by her mother, in 1968. Nationally and internationally known as one of today’s most powerful and motivating speakers, King challenges people to “Raise the Standard.” She has spoken at the White House and for corporations and universities in such places as Australia, Germany, New Zealand, and South Africa. The youngest daughter of the late Coretta Scott King and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., she began her oratorical journey at age 17 when she spoke in her mother’s place at the United Nations. She holds a Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Law from Emory University and an undergraduate degree from Spelman College. She also received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Wesley College.
