Dr. Joseph Liechty
Professor, Peace, Justice & Conflict Studies, Goshen College, Goshen, IN

Dr. Liechty lived in Ireland and Northern Ireland from 1980-2003. After completing his Ph.D. in Irish History in 1987 he focused his efforts on the issue of Catholic-Protestant reconciliation, notably with an action-research project of the Irish School of Ecumenics (Trinity College Dublin) called Moving Beyond Sectarianism. He has written several books including Moving Beyond Sectarianism: Religion, Conflict, and Reconciliation in Northern Ireland and Explorations in Reconciliation: New Directions for Theology.

 

Dr. Mohammed Abu-Nimer
Professor, International Peace and Conflict Resolution, American University, Washington DC

Dr. Abu-Nimer’s research interests include conflict resolution in Israel and Palestine, conflict resolution models in Muslim communities, interreligious conflict resolution training, interfaith dialogue, and evaluation of conflict resolution programs. His many books include Peace-Building by, between, and beyond Muslims and Evangelical Christians, Interfaith Peacebuilding and Dialogue in the Middle East: From Sacred to Political, and Reconciliation, Coexistence, and Justice: Theory and Practice.
