Office of Financial Aid
Grants and scholarships are types of gift aid (i.e., they do not need to
be repaid). Most grants are given on the basis of financial
need. Students who wish to be considered for grants and scholarships must complete the
Bethel University Financial Aid Application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Comments: To determine if you
qualify for VA benefits, call toll free 1.888.442.4551. If you qualify for VA
benefits and intend to use them, you must contact the certifying official at
Bethel University, at 651.635.8696 or 800.255.8706, ext. 8696. You must report
any change in your registration or withdrawal to the certifying official at
Bethel. For more information regarding educational military benefits, please

Amount: Up to $4,000 per year.
Eligibility:
Eligible students who plan on being a teacher. Recipients must serve as a
full-time, highly qualified teacher in a high-need field, in a school serving
low-income students for a minimum of four years within eight years of completing
their course of study or this grant reverts to an Unsubsidized Federal Stafford
Loan. (Graduate students who are pursuing a licensure only are not eligible for the TEACH Grant.)
Comments: Apply using FAFSA. Students must complete an Agreement to Serve and entrance counseling each year they receive a TEACH Grant. Go to www.teach-ats.ed.gov for a TEACH Fact Sheet, FAQ, and to complete the Agreement to Serve.

Amount: Full-time students may be eligible to receive up to $1,000 per term, and part-time students can receive up to $500 per term.
Eligibility: Provides financial assistance to Minnesota veterans and service members who served on or after September 11, 2001. Must also complete the online Minnesota GI Bill Application and notify the financial aid office at finaid@bethel.edu that the online application has been submitted.

Amount: Up to $6,000 per year for graduate
students.
Eligibility: Minnesota residents who are of one-fourth or more
Indian ancestry and demonstrate financial need. See the Minnesota Office of
Higher Education Minnesota Indian Scholarship webpage for more detailed
information regarding this scholarship.
Comments: To apply, complete the
FAFSA and submit the Minnesota Indian Scholarship Program Application to the Office
of Higher Education.
Amount: Up to $1,050
Eligibility: Students must be admitted as new
Bethel student into the Graduate School, maintain a
minimum enrollment of 6 credits per semester and be employed with a Bethel
University Corporate Partner. To find out whether your employer is a Bethel University Corporate
