Chris Nelson

Development Officer, Bethel Fund

Chris Nelson has worked with investors for 5 years, focusing on the Bethel Fund and annual giving. He and his wife Colleen are alumni (’01), and 2005 graduates from the Graduate School and Seminary, respectively. They have 3 small children.

Chris brought to Bethel years of relational experience from his work in non-profit and for-profit organizations—all dedicated to serving people.

He says, “I’ve had the opportunity to work in amazing learning environments that sharpened my skills and taught me to lead courageously. My work in these organizations has given me valuable lessons that I use to relate with donors and share about Bethel.”

Why Chris Loves His Job

What he loves most about his job is the relational aspect of working with donors.

“I have the privilege of entering into people’s lives and hearing their story, encouraging their faith through giving, and sharing in the ministry God is doing through Bethel.  Whether it’s a death in the family, a birth, or commencement, I’m blessed to walk through life with people, pray for their needs, and celebrate the good things God is doing.”

Favorite Bethel Experience

Chris loves Bethel Homecoming. “It’s a special time . . .  it brings so many people back to campus to remember old times and rekindle their affinity to Bethel.”
