Create a Scholarship
Join hundreds of supporters who have created scholarships to help current students afford a Christ-centered Bethel education.
Why create a scholarship?
Scholarships directly support Bethel undergrad and seminary students—giving them the amazing gift of tuition dollars. As they worry less about college finances, students engage more fully in their Bethel experience.
What kind of scholarship can I create?
Donors give scholarships for many different reasons—and they give to all kinds of students.
Some give to students in particular majors like nursing, chemistry, or music. Others give to students that come from certain life circumstances like a single-parent home or a childhood spent overseas with missionary parents.
Bethel’s graduating classes have even come together to create scholarships—like the Class of ’76 that gives an annual scholarship to chemistry students.
How much do scholarships need to be?
Ultimately, you can give a scholarship for any amount. Some donors prefer to set up an endowed scholarship, which requires a minimum of $10,000.
Annual Scholarship
An annual scholarship can be for any amount you choose—and can go to as many students as you wish.
Some donors like to spread their gift, giving a few hundred dollars to multiple students. Others choose to give a larger scholarship to one student.
Endowed Scholarship
A gift of at least $10,000 is required to create an endowed scholarship from which only a portion of the earnings is awarded each year. Additional gifts may be added to the endowment fund during a lifetime or at a death through an estate plan.
