College of Adult & Professional Studies and Graduate School Faculty Employment Opportunities

The College of Adult & Professional Studies and Graduate School (CAPS/GS) hires adjunct (part-time) faculty members throughout the year, based on need. We are currently seeking adjunct faculty to teach in the following areas:

  • General Education - Science
  • General Education - Technology
  • Healthcare Leadership
  • Human Services
  • International Baccalaureate in Education
  • Mathematics
  • Organizational Leadership

While a Ph.D. or DBA is preferred, qualified candidates will have at minimum a master’s degree with substantial experience in their field of expertise. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience, including experience in online learning environments.

Adjunct Faculty/Graduate Program IB Advanced Certificate Program/Teaching and Learning Developing Leaders in International Education

Supervisor:

IB Program Director

Qualifications:

Candidate should have a Master’s Degree and an interest in online education. In addition, interest in and experience with International Baccalaureate education is required. Candidate must be committed to the liberal arts educational mission and evangelical Christian orientation of the University and demonstrate commitment to excellence in graduate teaching in an online setting.

Responsibilities:

Faculty will be expected to teach one or two of the following 3 credit fully online courses per year: EDUC771 Curriculum Processes, EDUC772 Assessment and Learning, EDUC773 Teaching and Learning. Full Time Faculty Appointment: Director of Clinical Education, Physician Assistant Program (Tenure Track)

Supervisor:

Director / Physician Assistant Program

Qualifications:

The minimum requirements for this position are a Master’s degree in a related health field (doctorate preferred) and appropriate clinical experience, experience with precepting students, or experience in coordination of clinical education activities. If the candidate is a physician assistant, he or she must hold board certification and hold, or be eligible for, current Minnesota licensure. The competitive candidate must exhibit strong communication, organizational, counseling, and problem solving skills. The candidate must be committed to Bethel’s Affirmation of Faith, Bethel’s Covenant for Life Together, and Bethel’s core values. The individual should be one who focuses on developing quality relationships and providing responsive customer service, and must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to increasing our diversity as a community. This faculty member should exhibit a passion for nurturing an educational climate where life-change occurs.

Responsibilities:

This is a full-time faculty position in the Graduate School assisting in providing leadership for the Physician Assistant Program. Responsibilities include: Collaborating with the Program Director, the Medical Director, the administrative assistant, and physician offices, as well as hospital and clinic leadership within the health care community. Travel is required. Additional responsibilities include participation in teaching in areas of expertise and service within the department. Collaborate in the development of the Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant (MSPA) along with the program director. Provide curriculum and instructional leadership within the MSPA Program. Serve as an advisor to cohorts as assigned. Teach a limited number of graduate courses as assigned. Assist in the initial training and on-going support for Bethel University PA preceptors. Actively participate in department and university committees. Serve as a subject matter specialist for the MSPA program, providing support and encouragement for program faculty. Full Time Faculty Appointments: Two Faculty Positions, Physician Assistant Program (Tenure Track)

Qualifications:

The ideal candidates for this position will have experience in teaching, preferably in graduate education. The candidate must have at least 3 years of clinical experience and hold a Masters degree (Doctorate preferred). The candidate must be a board certified physician assistant and hold a current Minnesota license, or be eligible for licensure in Minnesota. The candidate must exhibit exemplary communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
