Blackboard Course Removal Policy and Process

Policy

Blackboard courses will be removed one year after the completion of the course.  This means that the following timetable will apply to all Blackboard courses.  

Courses will be archived prior to removal, but instructors may wish to make an archive copy of your course anyway. Please DELETE the ARCHIVE from Blackboard AFTER YOU DOWNLOAD the archive. [Note: Any Archive larger than 250MB can not be uploaded back into Blackboard without deleting items from the archive. So if you have a large course use the EXPORT function and only export components you need for the next course.] If you have questions or need assistance please contact the Learning Technology Support line at 651-638-6500 #3 or email r-kistler@bethel.edu. 

Instructors can request earlier removal of courses using the Course Delete Request Form
