Use the Property Inspector
|
- Highlight the text that you want to
link
- Use the Browse for File folder icon to the right of the Link
box in the Property Inspector
- Use the point-to-file icon (just to the left of the folder icon)
and drag to the file to which you want to link (another open window,
an anchor, or a file in the Site window)
- Drag a file from the site window onto your highlighted link

| To open a link in a new page |
- Use the Target box in the Property Inspector while your link
is still highlighted.

| To create a link on the same page |
- Place an "Anchor" where you want to link
- Insert > Named Anchor
- If nothing happens View > Invisible Elements
- Name your anchor
- Highlight the link (text or image)
- Use the point-to-file icon (just to the left of the folder
icon) and drag to the text to which you want to link
- type #anchorname in the Link box in the Property
Inspector
- While the link text is highlighted, hold down the shift
key and click on your link and drag to your anchor.

| To remove a link |
- Modify > Hyperlink
> Remove Link
- Control click on the link and select remove
link
- Click on the link and use keys Command + Shift + L
- Click on the Link and then delete the link text from the Link
box in the Property Inspector.

| To connect to a Blackboard Course |
- Copy the address from your Blackboard site and paste the address
into the Link box.

To make an e-mail link
E-mail to Bob Kistler |
- Select the text you want to link and type mailto:e-mailAddress
(e.g. mailto:kisrob@bethel.edu) in the Link box.
- Click on the E-mail Link icon in the Objects window.
