Inserting Background Images
- Use the Page Properties dialog box
[Modify > Page Properties]
- The background image for this page is a scanned photograph of the
beach in front of my summer cabin and was re-sized and set to 50% opacity
in Adobe Imageready.
- Background images can also be used in Tables or in individual Table
Cells. - Just use the Bg choice in the Propterty Inspector when the
cell or entire table is selected.

Hints:
- To take a picture of an object on your screen
- Mac - Shift-Apple-4 Keys and then
outline the area you want, find Picture 1.. on your Hard Drive,
convert it to JPEG or GIF and insert into your page
- To "capture" a web image try right-clicking on a PC or Click&Hold
on a Mac

Creating "hot spots" or Image Maps
- Select an image
- Click on the Map button in the Property Inspector
- Draw a hot spot
- Select a link to connect to the hot spot

Inserting Images into a page
- Click on the image icon in the Objects pallette
- Insert > Image menu
- Shift-Drag to re-size the image

Specifying Image Properties
- Use the Property Inspector when the image is selected to change other
properties or to link the image.

Use thumbnails to increase the rate at which your page
loads

Often you may want to use a small, low resolution image called a thumbnail
and link to a larger higher resolution image.
