Copying Blackboard Assessments - Quiz, Test, Survey

Go to your previous course with the exam, survey, or pool that you wish to move to a new course.

Control Panel and go to Pool Manager
Click on Add Pool, give the pool a name
Select in the drop down menu "From question pool or assessment" and submit
Choose the assessment you want to make a pool
Choose all categories and submit
Choose the questions for your pool (or click the select all button) and submit
Go back to the Pool Manager and select Export Pool
Read and follow the instructions for downloading by clicking on the download link:
MAC -Click and hold or control click and select "download link to disk"
WINDOWS - Right Click and select "Save Target As"

Go to your new course and in the pool manager click import pool
Find your downloaded pool (titled "exportfile.zip") file and submit

Go to the Assessment Manager in the new course, add assessment, fill in the "assessment properties, name and description and instructions (submitting each time) and then when you get to add question, select "From question pool or assessment" in the drop down menu. Click Submit
Select the questions from your pool and check the pool to get questions from.
Select type or all
Check the questions you want (or select all)
Submit.
Modify your new assessment as you see fit and then "Save and Make Available"
