Guest Access: How do I provide guests with access to my course.
To provide guest access to a blackboard course do the following:
- Turn on guest access for course (Control panel/Settings/Guest Access).
- You may also need to make specific areas available to guests (Control panel/Manage course menu/Modify)
- Categorize the course in the Catalog (Control panel/Settings/Categorize Course).
- Guests access courses available via guest access through the "Course Catalog" link on the Bethel University Blackboard entrance page. Then on the Authentication page, click the "Log in as guest" link. Then find the course in the Catalog Categories.
- Guests only have access to Content Areas of Blackboard and not Discussions, Grades, or Communications areas. If you need your guest to have more access you need to request a temporary computer account by calling X6500, and then you can use the Add User feature in Blackboard to add them into your course.
