Blackboard replaces all my " and ' with ?.  What do I do?

• This is not a Blackboard issue but a Microsoft Office Issue.  The problem is that "smart quotes" is enabled in office. 
  

  • To turn off smart quotes in Word:

    • Open Microsoft Office and select Tools Menu/AutoCorrect/. 
      
    • Change on BOTH the "AutoFormat" and "Auto Format as you Type" tabs by unchecking the "Straight quotes" with "smart quotes".
