Cutting and Pasting in Blackboard

There are three solutions to the problem of not being able to paste into text boxes in Blackboard when using Mozilla Firefox on Windows computers.

1. Try to Paste into your discussion board box by going to edit on the menu bar and choose paste.

Pasting in your discussion board postings cannot currently be done with commands or by using the right click option.

2. When you want to paste, if normal methods fail (Edit - paste, paste tool, or ctrl-v) use the two keys shift-insert.

    Copy the text you want to paste

    Click in the text box into which you wish to paste.

    Use the shift-insert key combination to insert your text.

3. You can also download  and install the "AllowClipboard Helper" extension from:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/852

After you install the extension you must follow the following two steps.

• restart the firefox program

• place blackboard.bethel.edu as an allowed site in the extension
  

  
• restart the firefox program once again

After installing the extension you should be able to use the normal paste methods.
