Telecommunications Tools for Conferencing & Teaching

Speakerphone:

Primarily used when two or more persons are at one location calling another.

  • A 48-hour notice is needed to assure the availability of a speaker phone.
  • Before reserving a speaker phone, please reserve location of meeting or class. Speaker phones need an analog line to work. Most conference rooms and classrooms have analog lines. They do NOT work in offices unless an office has had a dedicated jack installed for speakerphone use.

Audio Conference Bridge:

Is primarily used when a Bethel location needs to communicate with three or more sites. All participants call one number and are all brought together by entering their assigned conference number. (All parties can be off campus to use our conference bridge.)

  • A 48-hour notice is needed for general meetings.
  • A one-week notice is needed for classes conducted using the conference bridge.

Compressed Video Conference:

Is primarily used to place a video conference call to one or more video conference locations. Note: a video bridge is used for more than three sites.

  • A one-week notice is needed for a two-site video conference.
  • A two-week notice is needed fore more than three-site set up. A video bridge from an outside source will be needed which will be charged back to the requesting department's budget.

Synchronous Tools:

Reservation Form:

Telecommunication would prefer a 48-hour notice for scheduling our systems. The Video conference system may need a longer notice, because of room availability.

To schedule or for more information, please call 651-638-6280 or visit the Telecommunication website.
