Virtual PDF Printer Changes How it Sends PDF Files

For those that have not benefited from the PDF printer on Spooler, it is a virtual PDF printer. It creates a PDF file of anything that you send to be "printed" to it. It acts like any of the other network printers in that you select it from the print menu of any of your applications once you have installed it. Installing it is just like any other network printer.

Up until July, 2004 you would have received an email with a pdf version of your "printout" attached. This method limited the size of PDF files that could be created because of the email size limit. This prevented large PDF files from being received.

In an effort to enable large pdf files to be created, you will receive an email from "printmaster@bethel.edu" with a link to download a PDF version of the file. Clicking on the link within the email will bring up a download dialog box. Select to save the file.
